How To Help Your Children
|
I am really
excited that while you are learning about
generosity in “Big Church”, your first through
fifth grader will be learning about stewardship
in The Rock Worship during the 11:15 service. So
if your family has only been attending the 9:30
service, let me encourage you to use this series
as a time to let your child have the entire
Sunday morning experience at The Rock –
9:30=Bible Learning and Application, 10:45=
Shepherding and 11:15= The Rock Worship. As part
of this series, your child will be bringing home
a “Refrigerator Door Paper” and a “God Time”
booklet that will contain activities for your
family to do together each week.
The Schedule for this series is:
February 3 – Introduction to the Series
February 10- If I Were a Rich Man
February 17 – Go For Broke
February 24 – Give a Little
March 2 – Don’t Worry-Be Happy
We look forward to having your child join us as
we learn that Stewardship means taking care of
what we have, because it all belongs to God. I
would also like to encourage you to purchase the
following resource at the end of this series. It
will help your family review the lessons that
were covered in The Rock Worship as well as
helping you practice stewardship together. This
pack will be available to purchase on March 2
for $15.00. You can reserve your family’s pack
at the Children’s Information Table in The
Passage in the Children’s area before March 2,
to insure that we have one for you on that date.

Family Times
Stewardship Pack
Most parents want to raise children
with good character and values. Many
struggle to find the time and the
means to get the job done. Where do
you start? What do you say? Family
Times Virtue Pack provides
meaningful activities to be used
once a week during each of these
four family times:
Drive Time – Includes upbeat songs
and stories for kids and tips for
parents. Meal Time – These cards
contain cool ideas and conversation
starters for weekly family
discussions at the dinner table. Bed
Time – These four illustrated Bible
story cards, written in up-to-date
and relevant language, are provided
for parents to read with their child
once a week at bedtime. A short DVD
video is also provided to support
each of these lessons. Morning Time
– These four cards are for parents
to write their own specific words of
encouragement to their child
throughout the month.
All of these items are designed to
give parents quick and simple ways
to help their kids grow in faith and
character. (1 DVD, 1 CD, Meal Time
cards, Bed Time cards, and Morning
Time cards) This pack will be
available to purchase on March 2 for
$15.00. You can reserve your
family’s pack at the Children’s
Information Table in the Passage in
the Children’s area before then. |
